The catchment area is 12 sq. km, with 4.9 sq. km snow-fed and 7.1 sq. km rain-fed. The design discharge is 0.99 cumec, with a design flood of 50 cumec. Key structures include a drop-type trench weir at 2540 m elevation with a 1.00 m x 10.00 m trench size, conveying water through a 1.00 m x 1.40 m rectangular channel over 85 m with a 1:450 slope. A 2 m D-shaped headrace tunnel (HRT) spans 1360 m. The desilting arrangement includes a central silt gutter designed to exclude particles of 0.20 mm size, and the surface forebay has a storage capacity of 225 cum. The penstock is a 650 mm diameter surface steel pipe, 1260 m in length, leading to a surface power house measuring 28 m x 13 m x 10/12 m. The power house is equipped with two Pelton turbines, each with a 2500 kW capacity, totaling 5 MW. The gross head is 600 m, and the net head is 581.47 m. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 3900.54 lac, which includes Rs. 2096.81 lac for civil works, Rs. 1003.84 lac for electrical works, and Rs. 136 lac for transmission. The total project cost includes interest during construction of Rs. 391.71 lac. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been applied for at a rate of Rs. 5 per unit, though the forest NOC is still pending. The new DPR survey has been completed, with a revised project estimate of around Rs. 55 crores.
